Chris advises tech startups, growth orientated companies, small and medium business, post-secondary institutions, corporate boards, and not-for-profits in a broad range of matters and transactions. His advice often involves aspects of intellectual property, corporate governance, and technology. Chris’s clients include technology startups, ICT companies, SaaS and other software companies, research organizations, non-profits, and entrepreneurs. Before moving his practice to LennonAllen, Chris spent a decade with a long established, full-service regional firm in Vancouver where he led both the Startups & New Ventures practice group, and the Charities & Not-For-Profit practice group. Chris is a Leanstack Certified Startup Mentor, and a Black Duck Certified Legal Specialist. He was awarded “Best for Copyright Matters – Canada” in the Acquisition International 2015 Legal Awards and received an Excellence Award for Tech Startup Advisory in 2016. He is a former director of the Thunderbird Football Association and currently serves as director and corporate secretary for the Blockchain Ecosystem of BC Society.
